Great point, schwartzpamela! It’s essential to check the temperature of the ground. If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for theirs. Bring a towel for breaks in the shade!

I’ve had a couple of rough outings, but with proper training and preparation, it can be fun! Just bring a crate or car seat for them to relax in while you play.
I recently took my golden retriever to Pine Hill Golf Course. The staff were super welcoming, and my dog loved running around the open spaces! We had a fantastic day out on the green.

Brought my beagle to Valley View Golf this past weekend. He had a blast, but I had to keep an eye on him since he got overly excited around other players. It was mostly positive though!
We love Fairway Pines! The course is very dog-friendly, but there’s always a risk of distractions. I find treats handy to keep my pup focused.

I took my Labrador to Riverside Golf Club last summer. They have a leash-free area which made it easier for him to enjoy. The only downside was that he wanted to chase the golf balls!
What treats have worked best for you? I feel like my dog gets too excitable with some snacks.
I usually bring some soft jerky; my dog goes crazy for it! Just remember to use it sparingly or your pup might help itself to snacks!

Honestly, I think it can be risky to have dogs on courses. They can disrupt players, and some might not even like dogs around. Just be considerate of others!
