I went with a bunch of mini-golf classics. Windmills, ramps, and a giant clown mouth! They added a lot of character to the course. Just make sure they’re securely anchored!
Sounds entertaining! How long did it take to build everything? I’m hoping to get it up before summer.
It took me a few weekends, but totally worth it! I also planned my budget carefully, keeping our total under $500, including all materials.
That’s pretty impressive! I am starting to wonder if I could go over budget. Any tips on cutting costs without compromising quality?
Consider shopping at thrift stores or clearance sales! You can find great items at a fraction of the price.
Or just make a giant happy gilmore cardboard cutout for decoration! It’s sure to bring laughs while you play!
Has anyone tried creating custom holes based on the movie? I think adding obstacles like a giant shoe would be hilarious!
That’s a great idea! You could also have a hole where players must shout ‘Happy!’ while taking their shot. It would definitely bring out the movie’s spirit!
Using a scoring system that awards extra points for style could add some flair! Maybe even have bonus points for the best Happy Gilmore swing!
Absolutely! You could also have judges to rate each swing, similar to a talent show. It could get competitive!
Has anyone considered themed challenges? For instance, a ‘Water Hazard’ mini-game where everyone has to hit from one foot in a kiddie pool?
I love that! You could have a ‘Bubba’ challenge where players have to knock over a pretend golf cart as a target. So fun!
Why not make it a team event? Like ‘Team Happy’ vs. ‘Team Gilmore’ where each team has themed outfits and golf balls! The more ridiculous, the better.
That sounds awesome! It would create a fun atmosphere, and everyone would want to get into character – perfect for capturing that comedy vibe!
I wonder if we should set a limit on the number of strokes? Maybe anyone who misses twice has to do a silly dance on the course as a penalty!
That could spark some friendly competition! Just wait until you see someone do the ‘Happy’ dance after a bad shot!
Exactly! It keeps everyone on their toes! Maybe we could incorporate trivia questions about the movie that must be answered before taking a shot!
