Great tip, ssmith! What about battery life? Do these apps drain your battery quickly?
I’ve noticed that the battery does drain fast when using GPS features. I usually carry a portable charger just in case.
Haha, true! My rangefinder app almost made my phone dead by the 15th hole last weekend! Always carry a backup!
Have any of you tried the app called SkyCaddie? They claim to have the most accurate GPS data.

I tried SkyCaddie, but I felt it wasn’t worth the subscription fee. It didn’t perform better than Golfshot for me.

I think it’s all about what features you need. For me, GPS accuracy trumps everything. Have you all factored that in?
Good point! I’ve also looked for ease of use because I don’t want to fumble with my phone while playing.
The app needs to be user-friendly, or else it’s a recipe for frustration on the course! People just want to enjoy the game.
Exactly! Sometimes, it’s just easier to use a handheld rangefinder.
