If only every course had Chambers Bay’s stunning views! Maybe we should start a campaign to bring the prices down for everyone… Back to reality now.
I’m glad to see this topic started! As for Chambers Bay, I recently played there last month. The greens were in excellent shape despite the dry weather. It’s best to book in the early mornings. Anyone else have thoughts on the current conditions?

I agree, the dry weather can be a double-edged sword. I played last weekend and found the fairways a bit hard. It’s definitely a different experience. What do you all think about the weather affecting playability?
That’s interesting, @reyesdonald! I played in the rainy season last year, and the course was super soggy. I recommend going in late spring when there’s usually a good balance of dryness without it being too hard. Has anyone tried that time?
I’ve only played a couple of times in early spring, but it was really muddy. I think summer is the sweet spot. It’s not too hot, and the course is usually well-maintained. Just avoid midday for the heat!
I totally relate. The sun can be relentless. Also, has anyone checked out the new maintenance updates they posted? I hear they are adding more drainage systems.

I’ve played a lot in the summer and had great experiences. But one day we hit a patch of fog; visibility was hilarious! Anyone else got a funny fog story from Chambers Bay?
Only the time I lost my ball, and it turned out it was right next to my foot! Fog is something else. Definitely keeps things interesting.

Totally! Weekends can be a nightmare with all the crowds. I once waited two hours to tee off. Just a tip, try booking online early!
