Driving from Pinehurst to Charlotte for Golf: Need Tips!

Visit Lake Norman State Park if you can! It’s not too far off your route, and you can enjoy some fresh air before hitting the golf course in Charlotte.

Lake Norman is great! Just don’t forget your sunscreen; the last thing you want is to be burnt before your golf game.

No matter where you stop, don’t forget to grab some good North Carolina BBQ along the way! That alone is worth the drive!

I just drove from Pinehurst to Charlotte! If you’re looking for hotels, I recommend checking out the Hilton Garden Inn. It’s near the city center and offers good amenities for golfers.

Great suggestion! I’ve also heard that the Omni is fantastic if you’re in the mood to splurge a bit. Very close to some top-notch dining options!

I’ve stayed at a budget-friendly place called Days Inn in south Charlotte. It was convenient and had decent amenities! Perfect for a quick golf trip.

Days Inn is a solid choice, but has anyone checked out the Airbnb options? You can find some unique stays that might be more fun!

I agree with haynesjonathan! There’s a charming Airbnb near Uptown that could be a great base for exploring. Plus, you’ll likely save on meals by cooking a bit!

For long stays, check out the Residence Inn. They offer spacious suites with kitchens, which is excellent for having breakfast before hitting the golf course!

I’ve stayed there too! Very comfortable. But I often wonder, isn’t the more local vibe at smaller motels more appealing? Any thoughts?

While motels can be charming, I prefer hotels for a reason. They offer more predictable service, right? A good example is the Courtyard by Marriott near the airport.

So, does anyone have tips on areas to stay for easy access to the golf courses? I’m considering places that will minimize driving!

You might want to look at staying near SouthPark! It’s central and close to several courses. Plus, some great restaurants nearby!
