I’ve tried everything, but I still hook it! Could it be my equipment? Not sure if changing my driver could help as well. Any thoughts?

Lol, I feel you! But before switching drivers, try working on your grip and stance first. Serious swings can be adjusted, and it can save you money!

To fix a hook, focus on keeping your clubface square at impact. Try to visualize the swing path coming from the inside while ensuring your hands lead the clubhead. It’s all about practice and timing!

Great advice! Another thing to work on is your grip. A strong grip can often lead to hooks. Try a neutral grip for better control.

One drill I love is the ‘gate drill.’ Set up two tees slightly wider than your clubhead and try to swing through without hitting them. It helps with swing path accuracy and can really reduce hooks!

I’ve heard of that! Does anyone know if it’s good for beginners? I’m worried I might overthink my swing while practicing.

Definitely! The gate drill is great for all levels. And remember, practice makes perfect. Just keep swinging and don’t get discouraged if it takes time.

Also, don’t forget about your follow-through. A full follow-through can help you maintain the proper swing path and avoid a hook. A quick check in the mirror can help too!

That makes sense! How do you emphasize your follow-through? I sometimes feel rushed after contact.

To emphasize your follow-through, try slowing down after impact. Visualize swinging through the shot and extending your arms fully. It can feel unnatural at first, but it pays off!

I think it’s really about finding that balance. Overthinking can lead to more hooks, too! But hey, we’re all in this together—just keep practicing!

For sure! Sometimes I just wish my driver came with a manual. Anyone else feel like we’ve tried everything but still hook?
