KBS Tour Lite vs KBS Tour: Which Shaft Is Right for You?

From my experience, the KBS Tour has a stiffer flex that seems to benefit stronger players. However, if someone struggles with consistency, lighter shafts like the Tour Lite could definitely help.

I think it really depends on the player’s swing style. A powerful player may prefer the KBS Tour for that extra stability, while a more finesse golfer might lean towards the Tour Lite.

Exactly, bruce62! It’s also worth noting that the feel in the hands can change dramatically with the shaft weight. Has anyone else noticed that?

I personally switch based on the course. If I want extra distance, I go with the Tour Lite, but for tighter courses, the KBS Tour gives me that much-needed control.

You make a great point, lindazimmerman! The choice between the two should also consider your typical course conditions. It’s all about finding that balance for each round.

As a beginner, I’ve found the KBS Tour Lite much easier to adapt to. The added flexibility really does help with producing better shots especially when you’re still honing your technique.

For sure! I’ve heard that Tour Lite models can enhance feedback for those with a lighter touch. Anyone agree?

That’s true! The lightweight design is perfect for new golfers who may need a little more help with their shots.

Ultimately, finding the right shaft really comes down to personal preference and swing type. Have you guys tried both on the range to see differences?

I’ve only tried the KBS Tour Lite so far but would love to compare the two! Anyone up for a friendly bet on which one has the better feel?

I’ve tried both shafts, and I found the KBS Tour Lite to be much more comfortable. It really helped me with my swing speed without sacrificing control.

That’s really interesting, Larry! I felt quite the opposite. The KBS Tour gave me a more solid feel. Maybe we have different swing types?

I completely agree with Miguel. The KBS Tour offers excellent feedback that I’ve found hard to replicate with the Tour Lite.

For me, the weight difference is what sets them apart. The Tour Lite feels lighter, making it easier to swing longer. But you do lose some feedback.

That’s true! I feel like the extra control with the Tour makes it worth it, even with the extra weight.

I tried both during a fitting and ended up with the Tour Lite. My swing improved significantly, and I feel I have greater control of my shots now.

Can anyone comment on how they compare over time? Do you notice any loss of performance with the Lite?

I’ve been using the Tour Lite for over a year now, and the performance has been consistent. I haven’t noticed any drop-off yet, which is encouraging!

It’s great to hear, Jess! I am worried about wear and tear on these lighter shafts. Do you think they can hold up like the standard KBS Tour?

Honestly, I had a friend whose Tour Lite shafts started to feel off after a while. But I think it varies by golfer.
