Hybrid irons can be a mixed bag! I’ve used them, and while they’re great for distance, the feel can be hit or miss. Lighter feels can sometimes lead to misjudging distance, in my experience. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
I think Mizuno irons really excel in feel. Their grain flow forging offers a soft touch. Any other brands out there that compare?
I’ve heard great things about TaylorMade’s P790s too! They have a nice blend of distance and feel. Anyone tried those?
I’ve played with Callaway Apex and I can say, they are super soft at impact. Their feedback is also really user-friendly. Great for mid handicappers!
I would agree, James! Also, the forgiveness on those is impressive for the feel they provide.
It’s interesting how preferences differ. As a beginner, I find that a softer feel helps my confidence. What do seasoned players prefer?
Experience definitely plays a role! I feel more in control with a firmer iron, but I can see how softer options can be comforting for newcomers.
I’m all about the feel! Cobra’s King Forged CBs have a buttery smooth touch. I transitioned from game improvement irons and love the upgrade!
Cobra does have a great reputation! But can they challenge the likes of Mizuno? That’s a bold statement!
Haha, I just wish I could hit any iron consistently! Good feel won’t matter if you shank it, right? What do you all recommend for improving my swing?
True that! Maybe a lesson is more beneficial than a new set of irons. Still, I’d vote for something with a good feel alongside that!
