What Are the Loft Angles for P770 Irons?

It’s true! Customized lofts might just be the difference between a good day and a bad day on the course. Or maybe it’s just my swing… who knows!

I’ve been using the P770 irons for a season now, and I’ve found that the loft angles really do affect both distance control and accuracy. The 7-iron has a loft of 30 degrees, which feels just right for me in terms of distance.

That’s interesting! I’ve been tweaking my 9-iron and found that lowering the loft by a degree improved my accuracy quite a bit. Anyone else notice improvements with adjustments?

I’ve experimented with different loft settings on my P770s, too. I lowered my 8-iron loft, and it helped me control the distance better, especially when navigating tricky approaches.

Sounds like a solid change! I’m still figuring out how to optimize my clubs. Has anyone had any negative experiences with changing lofts?

Honestly, I had a tough time with my 6-iron after lowering the loft. It felt unpredictable at times, definitely lost some distance. But, I agree with the idea that fine-tuning can make a big difference.

I’m curious—how exactly are you lowering the loft? I’ve heard varying opinions on whether it’s better to bend the club or just switch lofts between clubs. What do you all think?

Good point! I have bent my clubs a bit but haven’t tried switching yet. I’m a bit worried about the impact on my swing and consistency.

I’ve always thought bending clubs was like trying to convince your boss to give you a raise—delicate and risky! But seriously, getting that loft right can definitely lead to better ball flight and more consistent distance. What are your thoughts?

Haha, love that analogy! I agree that it’s all about experimenting until you find that sweet spot with your irons. It’s worth it in the long run!
