Most golfers prefer homes with plenty of space, a gym, and maybe even a pool. Privacy is key! It’s interesting to see how much effort they put into their stay.
That sounds luxurious! But do you think some stay in hotels for the amenities like gym access and spa services?
Definitely! Some players prefer the hotel vibe for social interactions and networking. It varies by personal preference!
Networking at hotels could lead to sponsorship deals! With so much at stake, it makes sense they’d want to stay where they can connect with others.
Exactly! Plus, hotels may offer better room service options, which can be a nice perk during a busy week.
I wonder if Tiger Woods has a favorite place! With his experience, he probably knows the best spots around Augusta for comfort and good food. Anyone have a guess?
I’ve been to the Masters twice, and I always stay at the Sleep Inn. It’s affordable and only a 10-minute drive from Augusta National. Highly recommend it!
I agree with Michelle! The Sleep Inn is great, but if you want something a bit fancier, check out the Crowne Plaza. It’s just around the corner from the course.
The best experience I had was staying with a local family through Airbnb. Felt like I was part of the community, plus it was only a few minutes from the Club.
That’s a great tip! Staying local adds a personal touch. Are there any specific neighborhoods you recommend?
I usually book a room at the Augusta Marriott. Nice place and they have shuttles to the Masters. Just be sure to book early; it fills up fast!
That’s smart! The shuttle service is a big plus. Do you know if they have packages for Masters week?
If you’re looking for a good laugh, my buddy and I once tried camping out at a local park! Do NOT recommend, but it made for a fun story!
Haha, that sounds like quite the adventure! Definitely not my idea of a good time, though. Camping and golf don’t mix well!
I prefer staying a bit further away for quieter nights. The Hilton Garden Inn in North Augusta was great. Just a 15-minute drive to the Masters.
I’ve thought about staying in North Augusta too! Is it easy to get an Uber from there?
The traffic can be hectic during the Masters, so plan accordingly. I reflect on my first experience… it took me an hour just to get back to the hotel!
True! I always allow extra time for my trips. Any other tips for avoiding the crowds?
