Any Recommendations for the Best Golf Courses in Fort Lauderdale?

I’m planning a trip to Fort Lauderdale and I’m looking to play some great golf while I’m there. I’ve heard there are quite a few golf courses in the area, but I’m not sure which ones are worth checking out.

What I’m Looking For

  • Course Quality: I prefer courses that are well-maintained and challenging but also enjoyable.
  • Value for Money: I don’t mind spending a bit, but I want to make sure I’m getting good value.
  • Atmosphere: A welcoming environment is important to me, so if anyone has experiences with friendly staff, that would be a plus.

Some Specific Questions:

  1. What are the top-rated courses you would recommend for an overall great experience?
  2. Are there any hidden gems that might not be as well-known but offer an excellent round of golf?
  3. What about practice facilities? I could use a bit of time on the range as well.

I’d appreciate any insights, personal experiences, or links to reviews. Looking forward to your suggestions! Thanks in advance for your help!

If you’re looking for great golf courses in Fort Lauderdale, I’d highly recommend the Grande Oaks Golf Club. The course is in excellent condition and has a really fun layout!

I’ve played at both Grande Oaks and Old Fort Lauderdale, and while I agree Grande Oaks is amazing, I actually prefer the variety at the Jacaranda Golf Club. The back nine is simply beautiful!

The back nine at Jacaranda is definitely a highlight! How does the maintenance compare between these courses?

I found that the maintenance at Grande Oaks is top-notch, but Jacaranda also holds its own. Has anyone tried the Fountains Country Club? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Fountains is decent, but it can be crowded. If you’re looking for peace while you play, I’d steer clear on weekends!

I totally agree with you, David! Weekends at Fountains can feel more like a scramble than a round of golf. What about amenities? Any courses with great dining options?

Grande Oaks has a fantastic clubhouse with great food; I really enjoyed the burgers there after a round! It’s worth trying out.

Sounds delicious! Anyone up for a game at Grande Oaks next weekend? I promise not to hog the cart!

Haha, sounds like a plan, James! Just ensure you don’t get us lost on the course. But seriously, it’s great to see this conversation about golf in Fort Lauderdale!

For budget-friendly options, I highly recommend Vista View Park. It has a beautiful course with reasonable rates. Check their website for discounts too!

Vista View Park is a gem! Have you tried looking for weekday deals at local courses? It can save you quite a bit.

You all should check out the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. They often have discounts for early birds and twilight rounds!

Good to know! Are there any local sites that compile current deals or coupons?

GolfNow is a great resource for finding deals at various courses, including some in Fort Lauderdale. I scored a half-off deal last week!

That’s awesome! I’ve heard about GolfNow but never used it. Is it user-friendly?

Definitely user-friendly! Just search for courses, and you can filter by price. Also, consider checking out community courses for lower rates.

For a quick laugh, I’d say if you can make a hole in one, you won’t have to worry about costs anymore!

LOL! True, but I’m more of a double bogey kind of golfer. Any recommendations for courses that are still fun and affordable?
