Best Golf Courses in Memphis - Any Recommendations?

I’ve been on the hunt for the best golf courses in Memphis and could use some help from fellow golfers. Whether you’re a local resident or have played in the area, I’d love to hear your thoughts on which courses stand out and why.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Course Quality: How well-maintained are the fairways and greens?
  • Difficulty Level: Are the courses suitable for beginners or more geared towards experienced players?
  • Facilities: What kind of amenities do the courses offer, like clubhouses, practice areas, etc.?
  • Pricing: How do the greens fees compare? Are there any deals or packages worth mentioning?

I’ve seen some online reviews, but personal experiences really help in making a decision. If there are any hidden gems or must-plays, please share! Looking forward to your recommendations!

If you’re looking for the best golf courses in Memphis, I’d highly recommend TPC Southwind! The course conditions are always top-notch, and the layout is challenging but fun.

I’ve heard great things about TPC Southwind! But don’t forget about Memphis Country Club; it has a rich history and a great atmosphere to play in.

I play at Pine Hill Golf Course frequently. It’s a hidden gem with very affordable rates and a relaxed vibe. Definitely worth checking out!

I’ve never been to Pine Hill. Are the fairways well-kept? Always looking for good conditions!

Absolutely! Pine Hill’s fairways are usually in great shape, especially in the spring. I also enjoyed the respective wildlife that adds to the experience.

I had a great experience at Colonial Country Club. The staff is friendly, and the greens are some of the best in the city. Anyone else been there?

Colonial is awesome! Just be careful with the water hazards; they can surprise you. I lost a ball there last week!

Hahaha, water hazards will get you every time! But seriously, if you’re looking for a more laid-back course, check out the Galloway Golf Course. It’s very welcoming for beginners.

I’ve taken my kids there; they loved it! Plus, the prices are unbeatable for the family. Just wish the clubhouse had more options for food.

I think Galloway could definitely improve on their food options. But hey, it’s a fun course! Have you guys played at the Ridgeway Country Club? I’ve always found it to feel exclusive yet friendly.

I felt the same! Great course, but sometimes the pace of play can be slow during weekends.

A slow pace can be frustrating! Have you tried the new driving range at the Memphis Golf Club? It’s quite the hit among golfers right now. Perfect for practice.

If you’re looking for budget-friendly options, check out T.O. Fuller State Park Golf Course. It’s great for beginners and the prices are reasonable!

The Memphis Golf Club’s range is fantastic! I saw a great improvement in my swing just by spending a few hours there last weekend. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely agree! I played there as a beginner, and the course is forgiving. Plus, it has a nice range for practice.

Have you tried the 9-hole course at Memphis Municipal Golf Course? It’s very affordable and perfect for new players to build confidence!

I haven’t yet! How do the prices compare to T.O. Fuller?

Glad you asked, Daniel! Memphis Municipal is usually about $15 for 9 holes. It’s a steal, and they even have a great practice area too!
