Best Golf Packages for a South Carolina Golf Trip?

I’m planning a golf trip to South Carolina and I’m looking for some insights and advice on the best packages available. I’ve heard a lot about popular destinations like Kiawah Island and Hilton Head, but I want to make sure I’m getting the best experience for my money.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Golf Resorts: Which resorts are known for having amazing courses and great accommodations?
  • Golf Packages: Are there any resorts that provide good deals that include accommodations and rounds of golf?
  • Course Recommendations: What are the must-play courses in the area? Any tips on which courses are challenging or especially enjoyable?
  • Reviews and Comparisons: I’d also love to hear about personal experiences. Which places stood out, and why?

Additional Considerations:

  • Travel Tips: Any recommendations on travel arrangements? Is it better to rent a car or is public transportation sufficient?
  • Best Time to Visit: What’s the best season for golf in South Carolina?

I would really appreciate any advice, suggestions, or personal stories you all might have as I plan this trip. Looking forward to your insights!

I agree, Myrtle Beach is incredible! I played at the Dunes Club last summer, and it was challenging yet so beautiful. Highly recommend it for any skill level.

Don’t forget about Hilton Head Island! Courses like Harbour Town Golf Links offer stunning views and are quite famous. Plus, they have great packages in the off-season!

Absolutely! Harbour Town is iconic. If you’re looking for a hidden gem, try Palmetto Hall. It’s less crowded and has a great layout.

I found a great package that included rounds at both Dunes Club and TPC Myrtle Beach for under $500. It was a steal and the courses were unforgettable! Check out travel sites for group deals.

Golf in SC has something for everyone! If you’re a beginner, look into courses like the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. The scenery there is simply breathtaking, but it’s also forgiving for new golfers.

Kiawah is amazing! But let’s be real, the Ocean Course can be tough. Try to play it when the wind isn’t bad—it can make or break the day!

While we’re discussing courses, has anyone tried the Willbrook Plantation course? It’s a great hidden gem with a relaxed atmosphere and affordable rates.

I’ve played there twice and it’s always a pleasant experience! However, I wonder how it compares to the more popular spots like Pinehurst?

Haha, Pinehurst is great, but SC has its own charm! I’ve probably lost more balls at the ambience-filled courses there than anywhere else! Anyone else feel like a pro when they’re actually just a duffer?

I’d recommend aiming for 3-4 rounds over a week. Fit in 1-2 courses per day for a great mix of play and relaxation!

Hey everyone! I’m planning a golf trip to South Carolina and looking for the best packages. Any suggestions on how many rounds I should play to make the most of it?

Definitely check out Myrtle Beach! You can easily play 3-4 rounds in that area with great package deals. Plus, enjoy beaches and nightlife!

Myrtle Beach sounds fantastic! Any specific courses you’d recommend?

Don’t forget about Charleston! You can combine golf with exploring the historic district. Maybe play a round and then grab some local food?

[quote=“brandon29, post:6, topic:3035”]You can combine golf with exploring the historic district…[quote]That sounds perfect! How long of a drive is it from Myrtle Beach to Charleston?

It’s about 90 minutes. Just enough time for a quick snack or to debate whether the beach or golf is better!

Haha! What other activities should I consider to balance out all the golf?
