Looking for Feedback on Titleist 731 PM Irons

Hey fellow golfers,

I’m currently considering picking up a set of Titleist 731 PM irons and wanted to get some feedback from those who have used them. I’ve heard great things about their playability and feel, but I’m curious about real user experiences. Here are a few specific points I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

  • Performance: How do these irons perform for you on the course? Are they forgiving enough for mid-handicap players?
  • Comparison with Other Models: How do the 731 PMs stack up against other Titleist offerings or competitors? Are there specific characteristics that stand out?
  • Durability and Quality: How well are these clubs holding up after regular use? Any wear and tear to be aware of?
  • Purchase Options: Any recommendations for where to find a good deal (e.g., eBay, local shops)?

I’d really appreciate any insights or reviews you can share. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve had the Titleist 731 PM irons for about six months now. The distance has improved significantly for me, especially with the short irons. I consistently hit about 10-15 yards longer than my previous set.

That’s great to hear, melanie03! I’ve noticed a difference in ball flight as well. The control I have with these irons in windy conditions is impressive.

I’ve found the 731 PMs to be very forgiving. Even when I miss the center, I don’t lose too much distance. They do perform better for me on a dry range than on the wet course, though.

That’s interesting, I had a similar experience. The performance really does dip when the greens are soggy after rain. It’s frustrating but understandable!

I agree with both of you! Control and accuracy are spot on in dry conditions. I wonder if anyone has tried them in heavy rain? I’d love to hear that feedback.

I did last week, and honestly, I was surprised! I still managed to get decent distance, but I had to adjust my grip for the wet conditions.

I feel like these clubs really excel in distance control when it comes to lofted shots. I can actually stop the ball on the greens, unlike my old set!

Definitely! The spin from these irons is something else. I find that I can attack the flags much more confidently.

But can we talk about the feedback from the grips? I’m not a huge fan of the stock grips. They feel a bit slippery sometimes, especially when sweating.

I totally agree, David. Swapping them for something more textured has made a world of difference for me in terms of grip and control.

Overall, I’m thrilled with my 731 PM irons. They feel great, and the sound at impact is just lovely—much better than my previous irons. Worth every penny!

That’s true! I’ve noticed that sound, too. My friends even compliment me on it when I hit clean shots!

Does anyone feel these clubs are overrated? I’ve tried them but didn’t feel the extra distance or control everyone talks about. Just curious!

Honestly, I think it’s user preference. Some might not get the same results simply because they’re not suited for everyone’s swing type.

It’s like choosing between pizza and burgers for dinner! Some days one just hits the spot more than the other. Different strokes for different folks!

Haha, exactly! Just make sure to enjoy the game no matter which irons you choose!

I’ve been using the Titleist 731 PM Irons for a few months now, and I really appreciate their feel compared to other popular brands like Callaway and TaylorMade. They give a solid feedback on impact.

That’s great to hear! I found the forgiveness in the 731 PM to be on par with other brands. How do you feel about its price point?

I’ve tried both the Titleist 731 PM and the Ping G710s. The forgiveness of the Ping feels better to some, but the Titleist has a nicer touch for lower handicappers.
