Planning My Pebble Beach Golf Trip - Any Tips?

I’m planning a golf trip to the legendary Pebble Beach Golf Links, and I’m reaching out to see if anyone has advice or insights to share. I’m particularly interested in the following aspects:

Tee Times

  • When is the best time to book tee times? I’ve heard it can be competitive, especially during peak seasons.
  • Are there any tips to snag discounts or special offers when booking?

Accommodation

  • What are some recommended places to stay? I’m hoping to find a spot that balances comfort with convenience to the courses.
  • Any experiences with the Pebble Beach Resorts? Are they worth the price?

Itineraries

  • What would a typical itinerary look like? Should I plan for multiple rounds at Pebble Beach or explore nearby courses?
  • Which other nearby courses would you recommend for a well-rounded experience?

Cost Breakdown

  • I’d love to hear from anyone on the cost of a trip like this. What should I budget for accommodations, dining, and other expenses?

Other Tips

  • Any specific dos and don’ts while visiting Pebble Beach? Tips on what to pack, best times of the year to visit, etc.?

Looking forward to hearing your personal experiences and any recommendations you might have! Your insights will help make this trip unforgettable. Thanks in advance!

Planning your Pebble Beach trip sounds exciting! The best time to visit is generally between April and June or September through November, when the weather is mild and crowds are smaller.

Absolutely, and I recommend at least 2-3 rounds to truly enjoy the various courses. Play Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill, and maybe Spanish Bay too!

I’d say 3-4 rounds if you can manage it! It’s such a special place, you won’t want to leave after just a couple of games.

I concur with April through June! Plus, don’t forget the beautiful scenery. You should definitely check out Carmel by the Sea while you’re at it!

And don’t forget to try some local food! There are amazing seafood restaurants near Pebble Beach that are perfect for after your rounds.

Yes! I loved eating at The Bench after a day on the course. As for accommodations, The Lodge at Pebble Beach is top-notch but books up quickly.

You might also want to consider Airbnbs in the area. They can be more affordable and sometimes offer a cozy local vibe compared to hotels!

But it can be pricey! If you’re looking to save some cash, try staying in nearby Monterey or Pacific Grove.

What do you think about the winter season? Is it too rainy to play? I’m curious if it’s a viable time to visit.

Yes, winter can be quite wet. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you really want to play regardless of the weather.

But you could find some good off-season deals! Just be ready to adapt your plans, haha!

Are you planning to play any of the lesser-known courses? They can be more affordable and give you a different experience, but still beautiful!

Great suggestion! I played at Del Monte and really enjoyed it. Definitely a different vibe from the high profile courses.
