Thoughts on the R11 Taylormade Driver?

I’m considering upgrading my driver and the TaylorMade R11 keeps coming up in discussions. I’ve heard some good things about it but I’m curious to know how it actually performs on the course. Here are a few things I’d love to get feedback on:

  • Distance: How does the R11 compare to current drivers in terms of distance?
  • Forgiveness: Is it forgiving enough for those of us who swing a bit off-center?
  • Adjustability: How is the adjustability feature working for you? Is it easy to tweak settings?
  • Feel and Sound: What’s your opinion on the feel and sound at impact?

I’ve seen some reviews, but I would appreciate hearing from those who actually use it. Is it worth considering as an upgrade, or should I look at newer models? Any experiences or opinions would be appreciated!

I’ve been using the R11 for a few months now. The distance is impressive, I’d say I’m hitting at least 10-15 yards farther than my old driver! The adjustable loft also helps in fine-tuning my game.

That’s great to hear, Jennifer! I love the feel of the R11 too. It feels solid at impact, which boosts my confidence.

I have had mixed feelings about the accuracy though. Some days it’s spot on, but other days, I find myself struggling to keep the ball in the fairway.

I can relate! It really depends on the conditions, I guess. On calm days, it performs beautifully, but once the wind kicks up, things get tricky.

Overall, I find the R11 to be worth it for the distance alone. Just remember to adjust the loft according to the course conditions!

Exactly! I’ve had some great rounds with it, particularly on the front nine at my local course.

As for the feel, it feels amazing! Like hitting a baseball perfectly cleanly.

I agree! That satisfying thwack makes a world of difference. It’s like a mini celebration every time I hit it right.

I’ve experienced some swing inconsistencies with it, which has been frustrating. Anyone else dealt with that?

Yes! It’s like the driver has a mind of its own sometimes. I feel like I need to readjust my swing for every game!

What’s the deal with the adjustable weights? Are they really worth it? I’m curious if anyone has found significant changes after adjusting them.

I think they can be! I fine-tuned mine for more fade and it actually helped me find more fairways last weekend.

This driver has got me addicted! I wake up dreaming of my next round and how much farther I can hit with it.

Haha, I can relate! I told my friend I might need an intervention with this driver… too much enthusiasm!

Honestly, the R11 might not suit everyone’s swing style. Some golfers may perform better with other models.

True, but it’s important to try it out! I think it can surprise a lot of players if given a chance.

I’ve been using the R11 driver for a few months now, and the adjustable loft feature is game-changing. I can really tailor my flight based on course conditions!

Absolutely! The ability to adjust the lie angle is a big plus for me. It really helps with consistency in ball contact.

What’s interesting is the weight distribution feature. Changing the weights not only affects the shot shape but also the overall feel of the swing. Has anyone else noticed that?
