Titleist T100 vs T150: Which Iron is Right for Me?

I’m looking to upgrade my irons and I’m torn between the Titleist T100 and T150 models. Both seem to have fantastic reviews, but I’m trying to get a clearer picture of how they differ in terms of performance.

Key Points I’m Considering:

  • Forgiveness: I often struggle with consistency, so I need irons that can help minimize mis-hits.
  • Feel and Feedback: I enjoy clubs that give me good feedback, but not to the point where too much vibration affects my shots.
  • Distance and Control: I want to maintain my distance without sacrificing too much control on the greens.

I’ve watched a few comparison videos, but they only scratched the surface. If anyone has experience with either iron, I’d love to hear your thoughts! What have you enjoyed or disliked about the T100 or T150? Any insights on fitting experiences would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been torn between the T100 and T150 for a while! The T100 has a great forged feel, but I hear the T150 provides more distance. Any suggestions on which suits lower handicaps better?

The T100 feels more consistent for me, especially on approach shots. I’ve found it more accurate than the T150. However, I can see why others might prefer the added distance.

I recently switched to the T150 after using the T100 for years. I’ve noticed an extra 5-10 yards, but the feel of the T100 is still unbeatable.

Exactly! But some days I feel like a distance boost could really help my game. It makes the decision tough!

I’m actually leaning towards the T150 because I play more aggressively and love hitting it long. Anyone else find it harder to control compared to the T100?

I’ve played both and agree with larryray in terms of distance. But for my swing style, the T100 gives me more confidence on the course, especially with shorter approach shots.

Feeling confused here! Is the T150 only for those who prioritize distance? Would I be sacrificing too much feel?

Not necessarily! The T150 has great feel too, but it shines with players who try to maximize speed on their swing.

I’ve always found the T100 to be easier to work with, especially in tougher conditions. The performance in wind is something to consider.

A friend of mine switched to the T150 and has been loving it! He can’t stop raving about how much easier it is to hit greens. But he was always a distance guy.

That’s a solid point! However, I feel the T150 still holds its own in those conditions if you have the right technique!

For a solid all-around club, I think the T100 wins, especially if you’re looking for precision over distance. Has anyone here tried mixing both sets?

I actually have! It helps balance my game, but I still lean towards the T100 for most situations.

Lately, I’ve been finding the T150 great for my iron game when I need that extra push. It’s like having a driver feel in an iron form! Anyone else feel this way?

LOL, I think I’m going to need both since I can’t decide! These discussions are making me realize how different each club feels.

That’s a funny way to put it! But true, distance does feel different with these clubs. Make sure to try them both on the range!

Reflecting on my experiences, I’d say start with the T100 if you’re looking to improve your precision. It builds confidence for longer clubs later.

I’ve been looking into the T100 and T150 as well. The T150 has a bit more mass in the heel which could help with stability on off-center hits. It really comes down to your play style!

That sounds interesting! How does that actually affect the feel and dispersion on shots for better players?
