I’ve heard good things about Glenwoodie! Also, check out the Beverly Country Club’s public days. It’s supposed to be a lovely course and well-maintained.
I’ll definitely look into that! It’s nice to know that a private course opens up occasionally.
Don’t forget about the Viser Golf Course! Great for all levels, and while it’s not as famous, it offers a nice mix of fun and challenge.
Viser is perfect for beginners! It’s great to bring friends who are just starting out without being overwhelmed.
Seriously, how hard is Harborside compared to Cog Hill? I’m a bit nervous about tackling either course this season.
They’re both tough! I’d say Harborside is a bit longer, but Cog Hill has tricky greens that can be deceiving.
Just remember, it’s all about the experience rather than the score! Less stress, more fun!
And a good laugh with friends can make any bad shot seem less important! Golf is as much about fun as competition, after all.
I highly recommend Lincoln Park Golf Course. It’s beautiful and well-maintained. Weekdays in the morning are usually the best times to play to avoid crowds.
I agree! Lincoln Park is great. If you get there around 7 AM on weekends, it’s a lot quieter. Plus, the views of the skyline are unbeatable!
Have you all tried the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course? It has some challenging holes, and the lakeside scenery is a bonus. Perfect for late afternoon rounds!
I haven’t played there yet! Do they have good facilities?
Definitely! The facilities are decent, and they have a nice driving range too. Just expect a busy atmosphere on weekends.
I love playing at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, especially the Dubsdread course. It’s a bit pricier, but worth it for a special outing. Just make sure to book early!
I’ve heard a lot about Cog Hill! Are there options for beginners or less experienced players there?
Yes! Cog Hill has multiple courses; some are beginner-friendly. I suggest trying the No. 3 course first if you’re new to the game.
When’s the best time to play at these public courses? I’d like to miss the rush hour!
For courses like Glenwoodie, early mornings or late afternoons during weekdays are ideal. You can usually play at your own pace then.
Has anyone else had issues with booking times online? It’s such a hassle sometimes!
Yes! I’ve faced that too. It’s almost like some spots are booked immediately. Maybe we need a secret golf club?
