One of the best public courses in Seattle has to be Jefferson Park Golf Course. The views are stunning, and it’s really well-maintained for a public course. Plus, the pricing is reasonable for the experience you get!

For a truly unique experience, don’t miss the Englewood Golf Course. It’s a bit quirky with its layout, but it’s a lot of fun! Plus, you can often snag discounts during the weekdays.

Absolutely agree! Jefferson Park has such beautiful backdrops. Another great option is West Seattle Golf Course; it offers challenging holes and great conditions.

I liked Englewood too! Though, I found the course can get muddy after rain. Definitely check the weather before heading out.

The conditions at Northshore Golf Course are immaculate! Fairly priced and the staff is extremely friendly. It’s great for a relaxing day of golf.

Totally agree with you, gina82! And they have twilight rates that make it super accessible. What’s not to like?

I think you all are missing out on Crosstown Golf Course! The hidden gem of Seattle golf. It’s inexpensive and feels much more spacious than other public ones!

Really? I’ve never played Crosstown. Curious about its layout. How does it compare to the other courses?

I appreciate the recommendations! However, I think it’s worth noting that some of these courses can get crowded on weekends. A little humor: if you don’t like slow play, you’re better off going on a weekday!

True! It’s like a traffic jam out there sometimes, haha. Anyone else have tips for finding less busy times to play?

If you’re looking for private golf clubs in Seattle, I’d highly recommend Washington Athletic Club. The amenities are top-notch, and the courses are always in great shape. Membership can be pricey, but the benefits are worth it!

Absolutely! I’ve also enjoyed my time at Seattle Golf Club. The exclusivity makes every round feel special, plus their dining options are amazing!

Seattle Golf Club is great, but it’s hard to beat the ambiance at Broadmoor Golf Club. The views are stunning and the social events are always a blast. It’s a great place to network too!

I couldn’t agree more! I also found the membership costs at Broadmoor to be reasonable for what you get. Anyone else have experiences with private clubs?

Definitely, scantu! I’ve been a member of Lakewood Country Club for a couple of years now. The course is challenging, and the community is very welcoming. Plus, they have a fantastic pro shop!

What’s the initiation fee like at Lakewood? I’m considering joining a private club but want to ensure I make the right choice. Anyone can provide insights?

The initiation fee at Lakewood is around $20,000, plus yearly dues. Pretty steep but the experience is unbeatable! They have great family events too, which is a nice touch.

Wow, $20,000? That’s a hefty price tag! But if it means you get premium courses and networking opportunities, it could be worth it. Any humorous stories from your time on the course?

One time I hit a ball straight into the duck pond at Broadmoor! The ducks seemed offended, and I spent ages trying to convince them to leave my ball alone. A memorable round, for sure!
