I’m planning to hit the greens soon and I’m curious about the best golf courses around Pittsburgh, PA.
I’ve heard a lot about some local spots, but I’d love to get some recommendations from fellow golfers. Here are a few things I’m looking for:
Public and Private Courses : I’m interested in both options as I might play with different groups.
Course Features : Any courses with unique features, challenging holes, or scenic views?
Reviews and Experiences : Personal experiences can help a ton—what do you love (or not love) about certain courses?
Amenities : Restaurants, practice areas, or anything else that makes your experience better?
If anyone can share their top picks or any hidden gems I’ve missed, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for your insights!

I’ve played at Treesdale before, and I can agree! The staff is so supportive, and it really feels like a community there.
How about Edgewood Country Club? I found their course design quite unique with some tricky holes that keep you on your toes! Plus, the clubhouse is lovely for post-round relaxation.
I haven’t tried Edgewood yet but have heard mixed reviews. Some say it’s great, while others feel it’s overrated. What has been your experience?
I think Edgewood is fun, but I sometimes wish the food options at the clubhouse were better. Still, a good place overall!

For a lively atmosphere, I recommend the Club at Nevillewood! The events they host are fantastic, and it’s a great spot for socializing after a round.
Absolutely agree! Plus, it’s situated in a beautiful area. You can really enjoy the view while golfing.
Rolling Hills Country Club is also worth mentioning. Fun, well-kept course with a lot of character. Their staff is always cheerful, which adds to the experience.
Are there any courses that are more affordable but still have great quality? I’m all for a budget-friendly option that doesn’t skimp on fun!
