What are the Best Public Golf Courses in Atlantic City?

I’m planning a trip to Atlantic City and, as an avid golfer, I’m eager to explore some of the best public golf courses in the area. I’ve heard mixed reviews and seen various lists online, but I’d love to hear personal recommendations and experiences from fellow golfers.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Quality of Play: Which courses offer the best conditions and layouts?
  • Facilities: Are there good practice areas, clubhouses, and amenities?
  • User Reviews: Any favorites that have stood out? What’s the overall vibe like?

If you have any suggestions or insights on which courses I should definitely check out while I’m there, it would be greatly appreciated. Any tips or hidden gems would be awesome too! Thanks in advance!

If you’re looking for the best public golf courses in Atlantic City, definitely check out the Atlantic City Country Club! It’s got a beautiful layout and is well-maintained. Plus, the views of the bay are spectacular.

Another great option is the Links at Brigantine Beach. It’s a bit more casual but has some fantastic holes right by the water. Great for beginners or seasoned players looking to relax!

I second that! The condition of the course is always top-notch, and I’ve heard they used to host some big amateur tournaments there too.

Totally agree! The Links is great for social rounds. Plus, who doesn’t love a beachy vibe while playing golf?

I’ve played at Twisted Dune and loved it! The layout is a bit challenging, which makes it great for a fun day out with friends. Just be ready for some wind!

Twisted Dune definitely tests your skills! I swear my scorecard looks like a Picasso after playing there. But the challenge is always worth it!

Have any of you tried the Great Bay Country Club? I’ve heard they offer super competitive rates and the course conditions are supposed to be excellent!

Great Bay has a fantastic reputation! I’ve played there a few times and it’s just a really enjoyable course. Highly recommend it for value!

Does anyone know if there are awards given to any of these courses? It’d be great to know which ones are recognized for their quality.

I believe Atlantic City Country Club has received recognition for its superior layout and maintenance. Also, I’ve seen Great Bay mentioned in local golf publications!

Anyone planning a golf trip together sometime soon? I think hitting a few of these courses could be a blast!

I absolutely love the public courses in Atlantic City! One of my favorites is Atlantic City Country Club. It’s reasonable in price and has stunning views.

Thanks for the recommendation! What are the typical green fees there, and how easy is it to book a tee time?

The green fees at Atlantic City Country Club can range from $50 to $90 depending on the season. Booking can be done online, which is super convenient for both newbies and experienced players!

What about availability on weekends? I can imagine it’s packed since everyone loves this place!

Weekends can be busy, especially in the summer. I recommend booking a couple of weeks in advance to secure your spot! Just be patient with beginners on the course too.

Good point! Any other courses you all suggest, especially for beginners?

Definitely check out the Mays Landing Golf Club! It has a great beginner-friendly atmosphere and reasonable rates. Perfect for those just starting out!

Thanks for that! Is it accessible by public transport, or do I need a car?
