What are the best public golf courses in Cape Cod?

I’m planning a trip to Cape Cod and want to hit some of the public golf courses while I’m there.

I’m looking for recommendations on which courses are worth playing. Here are a few things that would really help me:

  • Course conditions: How well-kept are the greens and fairways?
  • Pricing: What are the typical green fees? Are there any deals or special times to play?
  • Scenic views: Are there any courses that offer amazing views of the ocean or unique landscapes?
  • Difficulty level: I consider myself a mid-handicap golfer; would these courses be enjoyable and challenging?

Any local insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

That’s a great choice! I’ve also enjoyed playing at the Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds Golf Course. It’s very affordable and offers a nice mix of challenges.

The conditions are usually pretty decent, but they really shine in summer. Also, check out Falmouth Country Club. It’s surprisingly nice for a public course.

I’ve been curious about that one! Is it really worth the greens fee?

Totally worth it! The layout is fun and challenging. Plus, the staff is friendly which enhances the experience. I always leave satisfied.

That’s good to hear! I like a course that makes me think. Any other recommendations?

I would suggest Highland Links. It has the best coastal views, but be prepared for some windy days! It’s always an adventure there!

Sounds fantastic! I love a good coastal breeze. Anyone ever have a memorable round there?

If you’re looking for budget-friendly options in Cape Cod, check out the Cape Cod National Golf Club. They often have special rates during the weekdays.

Great suggestion! I’ve also found that many municipal courses offer discounts for residents on certain days. Just ask the pro shop!

Don’t forget about the Hyannis Golf Club! It’s known for being affordable, and they have twilight rates if you play later in the day.

Yes, I’ve played there before! They have a nice 18-hole course and a good driving range that doesn’t break the bank.

For discounts, look into local golf passes! They often run promotions that can save you money if you plan to play multiple rounds.

Excellent tip! I’ve also seen online coupons on golf websites. They sometimes offer great deals.

Have you all tried the Cape Cod Country Club? They have a great promotion for first-time visitors that includes a lesson!

I heard about that! They also offer family rates, which is perfect for a group outing.

What about the skills of the players? Lots of my friends joke that with my putting skills, I save money on greens fees since I rarely make it to the hole!
