What are the best public golf courses near Rosemary Beach, FL?

Looking for some guidance on the best public golf courses around Rosemary Beach, FL!

As someone who’s planning a trip to the area, I want to make the most of my golfing experience. I’ve heard there are some fantastic courses nearby, and I’d love to hear your recommendations.

Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:

  • Course Conditions: How well-maintained are the courses?
  • Difficulty Level: Are they suitable for all skill levels, or are they more geared towards experienced players?
  • Amenities: Do any of the courses offer rentals, dining options, or practice areas?
  • Booking: Should I book tee times in advance, especially if I’m heading there during peak season?

Additionally, if anyone has experience with group outings or special events like bachelor parties at these courses, I’d love to hear about that too! It would be great to enjoy some social rounds while exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you’re looking for great public golf courses near Rosemary Beach, check out Emerald Coast Golf Club. I’ve played there a few times, and it’s always in good shape!

I totally agree! Emerald Coast is fantastic, but don’t forget about Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club. It’s got stunning views and a nice layout.

I’ve played both courses mentioned, and I found Santa Rosa to be a bit more challenging, which I liked. However, Emerald Coast is perfect if you’re starting out!

Considering the beautiful scenery at Santa Rosa, I’d say it has the edge. Plus, the amenities there are top-notch!

Has anyone tried the golf at Kelly Plantation? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the greens, but the layout seems intriguing.

[@mclaughlinevan] I played at Kelly Plantation recently, and I found the greens to be decent! The course is well-designed, and it’s worth a visit!

I still think Santa Rosa has better overall vibes. The post-round drinks are incredible there too! Anyone have a favorite drink spot after golfing?

You can’t beat the sunset views at Santa Rosa! As for drinks, I always hit up the clubhouse; their local beer selection is fantastic!

Does anyone know about the pricing for these courses? I’m trying to plan a golf trip and manage a budget.

For Emerald Coast, it’s about $50 during peak times. Santa Rosa can be a bit pricier, especially on weekends.

That’s good to know! I remember when prices were much lower; golf used to be more affordable! Anyone else feel nostalgic about the good old days?

Totally! Like, where did all the good deals go? I used to play every weekend without breaking the bank!

Looking aside from price, which course has the best staff? Good service can make or break a golfing experience!

If you’re looking for budget-friendly options, don’t miss the Santa Rosa Beach Golf Club! They often have discounts for locals and twilight rates after 3 PM which are fantastic. Worth checking out!

I’ve heard great things about the Origins Course at WaterColor. It’s a very affordable option with some amazing scenery. Plus, they sometimes run deals for afternoon play!

Check out the Black Creek Golf Club! They frequently have discounts for early birds. It’s a nice course and a great way to save some money while enjoying golf.

Noted! But don’t forget that Baytowne Golf Club often has special packages that can include meals. It’s a bit more, but worth it for that extra bang!

I’ve played the Camp Creek Golf Club. They do offer some seasonal discounts, but watch out—they can get busy! Make your tee time in advance to snag those deals.

Camp Creek is beautiful! But for something a bit more relaxed, you might want to try the Elks Lodge course. It’s less crowded and super affordable!
