What are the best stay and play golf packages in Texas?

I’m planning a golf getaway in Texas and I’m really interested in finding some great ‘stay and play’ packages. I’d love to get your recommendations on resorts or locations that offer a combination of comfortable accommodations and access to top-notch golf courses. Here are a few things I’m considering:

  • Location: Are there any specific areas in Texas that are known for fantastic golf?
  • Courses: Which golf courses are must-plays and are included in these packages?
  • Value for Money: Any recommendations on packages that offer the best bang for your buck, especially for groups?
  • Amenities: Not just the golf—does the resort offer any other fun activities or amenities worth mentioning?

Any insights, personal experiences, or tips would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your advice.

If you’re looking for great stay and play packages, consider the Omni Barton Creek in Austin. Their courses are highly rated, especially the Fazio Foothills course, which boasts stunning hill country views and challenging layouts.

That sounds awesome! I’ve heard the Four Seasons in Las Colinas also offers great golf. The TPC course there is fantastic and often ranked among the top in Texas!

Don’t forget about the Corpus Christi area. The Stay & Play package at the Island Resort gives you access to the challenging Palmilla Beach course. The ocean views are worth it, and their accommodations are top-notch.

I completely agree! Palmilla Beach is a must-visit for its unique coastal design. Plus, the dining options at the resort are fantastic!

The Dallas area has some great options as well. I really enjoyed the courses at the Gaylord Texan. Their package allows you to play at nearby courses like TPC Craig Ranch, which has hosted the Byron Nelson!

Exactly! TPC Craig Ranch is beautiful; the conditions are always pristine. It’s definitely a highlight for any golfer visiting the area.

What makes the packages even better is the option to play multiple courses. For example, the Hilton Head Stay and Play includes courses like the Hills of Lakeway, which is known for its elevation changes and is fun to play.

Great point! Hills of Lakeway is a fantastic course, but it can be a bit challenging for beginners. It’s great they offer options for all skill levels.

I’ve also had a blast at the La Cantera Resort in San Antonio. Their stay packages let you enjoy both the Palmer and the Resort courses, both of which are known for their beautiful scenery.

La Cantera is great! Also, the food there is incredible. After a long day of golf, the dining experience is just as important!

I still think Pebble Beach is overrated compared to Texas courses. Anyone disagree? I mean, the resorts here offer better value with awesome courses like the ones we’ve mentioned.

I might take issue with that! Pebble Beach has its own charm, but I do think Texas golf courses have some hidden gems. Just depends on what you’re after!

If you’re looking for great stay and play packages in Texas, I highly recommend the ones at TPC San Antonio. The hotels have fantastic amenities, including pools and full-service spas. Perfect for unwinding after a long round of golf!

I’ve been to a few places, and Grapevine has some wonderful packages too! They offer complimentary breakfast which is a nice touch for golfers.

Check out the packages at Omni Barton Creek. They offer a variety of room types and have several on-site dining options. You won’t be short on choices after a day on the course!

I’ve heard the resort at The Woodlands offers packages that include golf lessons with stay options. Can anyone confirm this? Sounds like a fun way to improve your game!

Plus, I love that they have luxurious spa services. After hitting the greens, nothing beats a good massage!

I’m looking for something more budget-friendly. Are there any packages that offer good deals without sacrificing quality?

The packages in Fredericksburg often have great deals, especially during the offseason. You’ll find cozy accommodations and charming inns that provide a unique experience.
