I recently played Pebble Beach, and it truly lived up to the hype! The views are breathtaking, and the course was challenging but fair. It’s a must-play for any golf enthusiast.
You can’t go wrong with Augusta National. I was lucky enough to go during the Masters. The atmosphere was electric and the course was immaculate. Definitely one of my favorite golfing memories!
Augusta sounds incredible, malonenicole! What was it like seeing the azaleas in bloom? I imagine it must be even more beautiful in person. Any tips for securing tickets?
One of my top courses is Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. The links-style layout is a blast. I even saw some deer roaming while we played! Just be ready for the wind.
Pinehurst No. 2 is definitely tricky, but it’s worth it, kristinmartin! The crowned greens are unique and make for some interesting putts. Just remember to stay patient!
I think one major criteria should be the design of the course. Courses that challenge a golfer’s skills while providing a scenic experience often rank higher. Anyone agree?
Absolutely! If a course has unique features and well-thought-out holes, it definitely deserves a spot in the top 20. What are some courses that exemplify this?
I would add course difficulty to the list. A truly great course should test your skills. But how do you quantify difficulty—by slope or maybe the type of hazards?
