I’m looking for some feedback on the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX golf shaft. I’ve heard mixed reviews and I want to know whether it’s worth making the switch for my clubs.
Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:
Performance Characteristics: How does it perform for you in terms of distance and accuracy?
Feel: Is it stiff enough for your swing? How does it feel during the swing and at impact?
Comparison: How does it stack up against other shafts you’ve tried?
Suitability: Is it good for a mid-to-high swing speed, and would it help improve my overall game?
Anyone with experience using the Smoke Red RDX, your insights would be greatly appreciated! Whether it’s pros, cons, or just overall thoughts, I’d love to hear what you think!
I’ve been testing the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX for a few rounds now, and I’m really impressed with its stability. The shaft feels really responsive during my transition, especially at high swing speeds.
The ball flight has been really consistent! I noticed a slight drop in launch compared to my previous shaft, but the accuracy improved significantly. Definitely worth checking out if you want to hit more fairways.
I found that it really depends on your swing mechanics. If you can load the shaft correctly, the distance is definitely noticeable. What swing speed do you typically play at, @buchanantony?
I usually hover around 95 mph. Maybe that’s why it’s not performing as well for me. I’ve heard it works wonders for faster swings like 105 mph and above.
@andrew31 I play regular flex, but maybe I should consider a stiff one to see if I can feel the extra responsiveness. How’s your overall distance with it?
The Smoke Red RDX comes in at 60 grams. It’s not the lightest out there but definitely manageable. It offers a nice balance between feel and performance.
Not really! The stability provided actually aids in control and speed for many golfers. It just takes some getting used to if you’re transitioning from a much lighter shaft.
@catherine55 That’s good to know. It’s like finding that sweet spot, right? What’s everyone think about it for mid-handicap players? Is it too advanced?
I’ve been using the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX for a few months now. It’s definitely stiffer compared to the Hzrdus Yellow, which I found to be more forgiving. The Red really helps with spin control though.
That’s interesting! I’ve found the Fujikura Ventus gives me a bit more distance while also providing a smooth feel. How does the Red compare in terms of distance?
