What Do You Think of the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX?

I’m looking for some feedback on the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX golf shaft. I’ve heard mixed reviews and I want to know whether it’s worth making the switch for my clubs.

Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:

  • Performance Characteristics: How does it perform for you in terms of distance and accuracy?
  • Feel: Is it stiff enough for your swing? How does it feel during the swing and at impact?
  • Comparison: How does it stack up against other shafts you’ve tried?
  • Suitability: Is it good for a mid-to-high swing speed, and would it help improve my overall game?

Anyone with experience using the Smoke Red RDX, your insights would be greatly appreciated! Whether it’s pros, cons, or just overall thoughts, I’d love to hear what you think!

I’ve been testing the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX for a few rounds now, and I’m really impressed with its stability. The shaft feels really responsive during my transition, especially at high swing speeds.

That’s great to hear! How has the ball flight been for you? I’ve heard it promotes a mid-launch which can be beneficial for control.

The ball flight has been really consistent! I noticed a slight drop in launch compared to my previous shaft, but the accuracy improved significantly. Definitely worth checking out if you want to hit more fairways.

I’ve had mixed results. For me, the distance hasn’t increased as much as I expected. Maybe my swing speed isn’t high enough for the RDX to shine?

I found that it really depends on your swing mechanics. If you can load the shaft correctly, the distance is definitely noticeable. What swing speed do you typically play at, @buchanantony?

I usually hover around 95 mph. Maybe that’s why it’s not performing as well for me. I’ve heard it works wonders for faster swings like 105 mph and above.

That could be it. I clocked in at 105 mph and felt the shaft really kicked into gear. Have you tried using a different flex?

@andrew31 I play regular flex, but maybe I should consider a stiff one to see if I can feel the extra responsiveness. How’s your overall distance with it?

My distance improved by about 10-15 yards! Plus, the stability during the swing really helps me stay accurate. It’s been a game changer for me!

That’s impressive! I’m always curious about how different shaft weights play into swing dynamics. What’s the weight of the RDX?

The Smoke Red RDX comes in at 60 grams. It’s not the lightest out there but definitely manageable. It offers a nice balance between feel and performance.

I’ve heard the HZRDUS shafts feel pretty stable. Though the weight might seem hefty, does it affect swing speed drastically?

Not really! The stability provided actually aids in control and speed for many golfers. It just takes some getting used to if you’re transitioning from a much lighter shaft.

@catherine55 That’s good to know. It’s like finding that sweet spot, right? What’s everyone think about it for mid-handicap players? Is it too advanced?

I think it can be beneficial, as it promotes solid ball striking. But if you’re not consistent, it might frustrate some players. Just my two cents!

I got to say, I’d love to see this shaft in action at a higher swing speed – makes me want to hit the course just thinking about it! #GolfGoals

You definitely should! Next time I hit the range, I’ll look for the HZRDUS to give it a test drive. Fingers crossed for great numbers!

I’ve been using the HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX for a few months now. It’s definitely stiffer compared to the Hzrdus Yellow, which I found to be more forgiving. The Red really helps with spin control though.

That’s interesting! I’ve found the Fujikura Ventus gives me a bit more distance while also providing a smooth feel. How does the Red compare in terms of distance?
