I’m really keen on improving my golf game and I’ve decided it’s time to take some lessons. I’m not sure where to start though.
Here are a few things I’m considering:
Location: I’d like to find both local options and any online lessons if there are good ones out there.
Instructor Certification: How important is it to have PGA-certified instructors?
Lesson Format: Is it better to do in-person lessons or are online sessions just as effective?
Some questions I have:
Where have you guys taken lessons that you found helpful?
Any specific instructors or golf academies you would recommend?
What’s the best way to evaluate a potential instructor’s teaching style?
I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you have for finding the right golf lessons. Thanks in advance!
I’m looking for golf lessons too! I’ve heard great things about the Fairway Golf Academy. They cater to all skill levels and have experienced coaches. Has anyone tried them?

I took lessons there last summer! The staff is friendly and really focuses on individual improvement. Highly recommend Coach Pete; he’s fantastic!

That’s great to know! Are they affordable, or do you need to break the bank for lessons?
I also recommend the Golf Pro Academy. They have a solid beginner program and I saw my game improve quickly!

I found them quite reasonable! They offer package deals that save some money. Plus, the group lessons are fun and motivating.
If you’re looking for something more advanced, I’d suggest checking out the Elite Golf Institute. They focus on improving your stance and swing techniques. I’ve seen improvement myself!

Anyone knows if there are online lessons available? I’m a bit tight on time these days.
Totally relatable! You could check out GolfLessonsOnline; they have flexible schedules and a variety of coaches.
Speaking of flexible, I took a few lessons with Jamie at Swing Right Golf. Super chill environment and affordable rates for a casual learner.

Chill is definitely what I’m looking for. Do they have classes for all age groups?
Yes! They offer classes for both kids and adults. It’s a great place to learn as a family!
I found the learning curve quite steep at first! Golf is tough but rewarding! Anyone else feel that?

It really can be! I thought I was great until I hit the course. Just keep practicing, and don’t lose heart!
I always joke that golf is just a way to ruin a good walk! But seriously, it’s worth the effort in the end.
I’ve found that online platforms like Skillshare and Udemy offer great golf lessons. They have both beginner and advanced courses, but make sure to check the reviews for the instructors.
I’ve also heard that YouTube has an abundance of free golf instruction videos. Just search for specific skills like putting or swing techniques!

Virtual coaching is another fantastic option. Platforms like CoachNow let you upload videos for personalized feedback, which can be super helpful. Anyone tried it?
