Where's the Best Golf in Nova Scotia?

I’m planning a golf trip to Nova Scotia and I’m looking for the best courses to play.

Recommendations Wanted

I want to know which golf courses are considered the premier ones in the region. If you’ve played there, what were your favorites, and what made them stand out?

Course Amenities

It would also be great to hear about the amenities offered. Are there any clubs with spectacular views, great dining options, or excellent practice facilities?

Local Insights

If there are hidden gems or lesser-known courses that you think are worth checking out, please share! I’m particularly interested in:

  • Scenic views
  • Course difficulty
  • Availability of rental equipment
  • Any notable events or tournaments happening in the area

Personal Experiences

Lastly, if you have any personal anecdotes or stories about your golfing experiences in Nova Scotia, I’d love to hear them. They can really help me decide where to go!

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to your recommendations!

If you’re looking for the best golf in Nova Scotia, you can’t miss Cabot Links! It’s consistently rated among the top courses in Canada. Challenge yourself with the coastal winds and stunning views.

Cabot Links is incredible! I played there last summer, and the scenery is out of this world. Just be ready for a tough round!

Another great option is the Highlands Links. It has some tough holes, but the tranquil settings make it rewarding. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the greens, though.

I agree! The natural beauty there is amazing, but I found it quite challenging. Good for experienced players!

Don’t forget about Eagle Crest Golf Club! It’s less famous but offers a great experience with friendly staff. It’s an excellent choice for casual players and families.

Eagle Crest is a hidden gem! I took my kids there last month—great for beginners.

For those looking for a challenge, you might want to try the Links at Brunello. It combines beautiful landscapes with strategically placed hazards that really test your game.

I’ve heard great things about Brunello! But, wow, did you mean its hazards are strategically placed for a reason? Yikes!

I’ve played at Oakfield Golf and Country Club; nice course with some scenic views! However, I felt some holes were overprotected—just a bit too much.

Oakfield is decent, but I think the price can be a bit steep for what you get. Anyone else feel that way?

Just remember, everyone has different tastes! While Cabot Links might be popular, it might not fit everyone’s style. That said, I still think it’s top notch!

True, but I’d choose Cabot Links any day over the rest. The atmosphere is unbeatable!

At the end of the day, golf is about enjoyment! So don’t stress too much about which course to pick—just find a spot you love and have fun swinging those clubs!

If you’re looking for the best upcoming golf events in Nova Scotia, check out the Nova Scotia Golf Association’s website. They have a list of tournaments and registration details available there.

Thanks for the tip, ftrevino! Are there any specific tournaments coming up that you’d recommend?

That sounds exciting! How do I register for it? Any advice on what to prepare?

Registration for the Atlantic Canada amateur championship is online. Just go to their site, fill out the form, and be sure to practice your swing! Social events are usually held after the rounds.

I’m looking forward to the tournament! Is there a particular social event after the rounds that’s must-attend?

The post-tournament dinner is always a highlight! Great food and even better company. Just remember to pace yourself, drinks can sneak up on you on the 19th hole!
