Looking for the best public golf courses in Orlando

Hey there, fellow golf enthusiasts! I’m planning a trip to Orlando in the near future, and I’m looking to play some top-notch public golf courses in the area. As someone who loves the game, I’m on the hunt for the best options that offer great value and an enjoyable experience.

I’ve done some research, but I’d love to get some firsthand recommendations from the community. What are some of the must-play public courses in the Orlando region? I’m particularly interested in courses that offer challenging yet fair layouts, well-maintained conditions, and great customer service. Bonus points if they have affordable green fees and cater well to visitors.

Any insights or tips you can share would be greatly appreciated. I want to make the most of my time on the links in Orlando, so I’m all ears for your expert advice. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

For affordable public golf in the Orlando area, I’d recommend checking out Dubsdread Golf Course. Great course conditions and green fees around $50-$60. They also have some seasonal deals to look out for.

Thanks for the recommendation! Dubsdread sounds like a solid option. Do you have any other budget-friendly courses you’d suggest in the Orlando area?

If you’re looking for a fun, affordable round, check out MetroWest Golf Club. Green fees are usually under $50, and they have some really nice practice facilities too.

MetroWest sounds great! I’ll have to add that to my list of options to check out. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey folks, just wanted to chime in and say that I’ve played both Dubsdread and MetroWest, and they’re both solid public courses. If you’re on a tight budget, I’d also recommend looking into some of the municipal courses like Cypress Creek or Panther Lake.

Hmm, I’m not familiar with Cypress Creek or Panther Lake. What can you tell me about the conditions and green fees at those municipal courses? Are they well-maintained?

I’ve heard good things about Cypress Creek, but I’m curious to know more about the course conditions and pricing. Are they typically well-maintained for the green fees?

That’s really helpful, thanks! Cypress Creek and Panther Lake sound like great options for affordable public golf in the Orlando area.

I’ve played a few rounds at Kissimmee Golf Club, and I have to say, it’s a hidden gem! The course is in great shape, and the green fees are super reasonable, usually around $30-$40. They also have some nice twilight and weekend specials to look out for.

Ooh, Kissimmee Golf Club sounds like a great option! I’ll have to check out their specials. Thanks for the recommendation!

Has anyone played at the Orange County National golf complex? I’ve heard they have some really affordable public courses there, but I’m curious about the overall quality and experience.

Thanks for all the great suggestions, everyone! Looks like I have a nice list of affordable public golf courses to explore in the Orlando area. Can’t wait to check them out and find the best fit for my budget and play style.

Glad I could help! Let me know if you need any other recommendations as you’re researching the different courses. Happy golfing!

Just wanted to throw in my two cents - if you’re looking for a bit of a splurge, the Celebration Golf Club is a beautiful course with great green fees, usually around $60-$80. It’s a little higher than some of the other options, but the course conditions are top-notch.

Thanks for the suggestion! Celebration Golf Club sounds like a nice option for a more premium golfing experience. I’ll keep that in mind if I’m feeling like treating myself to a nicer round.

I second this recommendation. I’ve played both and they provide a top-notch golfing experience.

What about Shingle Creek? I’ve heard great things about their course and amenities. Have you had a chance to play there?

Shingle Creek is a solid choice too. The greens are in excellent condition, and the clubhouse has a nice restaurant and pro shop. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded on weekends.

I’ve played all three, and I’d have to say Orange County National is my personal favorite. The layout is challenging but fair, and the practice facilities are top-notch. The only thing is it can be a bit pricey compared to the others.
