Maxfli Tour vs Tour S: Which One's Right for You?

I’m looking for some insights on the Maxfli Tour and Tour S golf balls. Specifically, I’m curious about their performance differences regarding spin rate, feel, and any personal experiences fellow golfers might have had with these balls.

What I’ve Noticed:

  • Feel: Many golfers prioritize the feel of the ball off the clubface. How do these compare?
  • Spin Rate: Has anyone tracked their spin rates with either ball? I play mostly on soft greens, so this is key for me.
  • Durability: How do they hold up after several rounds? I don’t want to constantly switch balls.

I’d appreciate any reviews or suggestions from those who’ve played with both. What conditions do you think each ball performs best in? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I’ve used both the Maxfli Tour and Tour S, and I found the Tour S has a slightly softer feel but less spin control on greens. The Tour is firmer and seems to go a little farther for me.

I agree, the softer feel of the Tour S is noticeable right off the bat. It can really help with touch around the greens!

I like how the Maxfli Tour gives me more spin on my wedge shots, which I think is a game changer for my short game. Anyone else experience that?

Absolutely! The Tour really excels in spin. I feel more in control when putting as well.

I’ve also noticed that the Maxfli Tour feels better off the tee. It gives a nice solid strike, which I prefer over the Tour S. Anyone else prefer that firmer feel?

Interesting point! I feel like the Tour S is perfect for softer-hand drivers. It really helps with accuracy for me, though distance may slightly decrease.

That makes sense! If you prioritize accuracy, the Tour S could definitely be the better option.

For me, the consistency in performance with the Maxfli Tour outweighs everything. It’s just what I need to keep lowering my handicap!

Consistency is key to improving! But sometimes I like to try new things, even if they feel inconsistent at first.

I haven’t had that issue, but I usually play on softer courses. The Tour seems to hold up better in tough conditions though.

Has anyone struggled with durability? I think the Tour S cuts and scratches way easier than the Tour.

That’s a bummer! I think Maxfli needs to improve on the durability, especially for the price.

Directionally, I think both balls are great. Tour S might have the edge for approach shots since it feels less boardy.

That’s a good observation! I usually switch between them depending on the course conditions. It’s about what works best for you!

The Tour’s performance in wind is better for me. I find the Tour S gets knocked around a bit more in breezy conditions.

Wind can really impact the game! I never thought to consider that before; I usually just play with whatever feels good.

I’ve been comparing the pricing of the Maxfli Tour and Tour S. The Tour S is slightly cheaper, but is it worth sacrificing some features? Anyone tried both?

I think the Maxfli Tour justifies the price with its extra feel and spin. Worth considering if you play often!

I agree with you, @angelahooper. The feel of the Tour is noticeably better. The price difference is minimal for that quality.
